Perhaps the weather (unnecessarily as it transpired) put some people off, but a small group of took a route out along the northern edge of The Neatherd, then up to Swanton Road and on to Northall Green. From here, we went past Hoe Lodge and Quebec Woods, to return up Sandy Lane, but diverting to the top of the escarpment behind Humbletoft (and above Rushmeadow) and finally along Old Becclesgate and back through the churchyard.
In spite of the rain over the previous couple of days, it was mostly dry underfoot with manageable bits of mud in a few places.
